2010 Das 50-Jahre alte Rätsel um das „verfluchte Brot“ von Pont-Saint-Esprit, das die Bürger Halluzinationen erleiden ließ (siehe 1951) ist gelüftet. Ein investigativer Journalist namens H P Albarelli Jr. fand nun heraus, dass dieses Brot vom US-Geheimdienste (CIA) als Teil eines Experiments zur Gedankenkontrolle, mit LSD versetzt worden war. Ein Indiz ist das Dokument der Konversation zwischen einem CIA Agenten und einem Sandoz Mitarbeiter, der das „Geheimnis von Pont-Saint-Esprit“ erwähnt und erklärt, dass es mitnichten durch Pilzbefall, sondern durch Diethylamid - dem D in LSD - verursacht wurde.
2010 A 50-year mystery over the ‘cursed bread’ of Pont-Saint-Esprit, which left residents suffering hallucinations (see 1951) has been solved after H P Albarelli Jr., an investigative journalist discovered the CIA had spiked the bread with LSD as part of a mind control experiment at the height of the Cold War. He found a transcripted conversation between a CIA agent and a Sandoz official who mentions the “secret of Pont-Saint-Esprit” and explains that it was not “at all” caused by mould but by diethylamide, the D in LSD.
